For 60 years, we’ve helped people with developmental disabilities live fuller, more independent lives through quality housing and compassionate support. What started as a parent-led initiative in 1965 has grown into a trusted community partner serving 80 individuals across 19 homes in Plymouth, Livonia, Redford, and Garden City.
Large Home Settings
Warm, welcoming environments in residential neighborhoods. These homes have larger staff to resident ratios offering greater independence.
Small Home Settings
Our smaller homes have smaller start to resident ratios offering more support.
Apartment Living
Unique residential setting offering independence with support, as needed.

Meet Sally
A Word from Sally About Volunteering
There is a tremendous amount of record keeping and reporting that COC must provide to Federal, Michigan, Wayne County and other agencies. Doing simple tasks like filing and organizing reports take a lot of time, time that the staff doesn’t have. Since I like doing clerical work, I am happy to take some of the workload pressure off the staff members so they can provide more direct care to the residents.”
